World Sight Day 2026: Halo Vision Joins the Global Call to #LoveYourEyes
Bringing accessible eye care closer to underserved communities through early intervention, school screening, and sponsored treatment.
On 8 October 2026, the world celebrated World Sight Day under the theme #LoveYourEyes, highlighting the importance of eye health and the need for everyone to take action to protect their sight.
At Halo Vision, we are proud to contribute to this global effort by taking eye care services closer to underserved communities, identifying eye conditions early, and supporting access to treatment for people who might otherwise struggle to receive the care they need.
We believe that access to quality eye care should not be determined by a person's location or financial circumstances. Through community outreach, school screening programmes, referrals, and sponsored surgeries for serious cases, Halo Vision continues to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families.
Taking Eye Care to Underserved Communities
Preventable vision loss can have far-reaching consequences, affecting education, livelihoods, independence, and quality of life. Yet many people in underserved communities face barriers to accessing timely eye examinations and treatment.
Halo Vision works to bridge this gap by bringing eye care services directly to villages and communities where access may be limited. Our outreach programmes help identify potential eye problems, provide appropriate support, and connect patients requiring specialised care with relevant services.
For people facing serious eye conditions, our efforts extend beyond screening. With the support of our partners and friends, we facilitate sponsored surgeries for deserving patients, helping them access treatment that may otherwise remain beyond their reach.
Protecting Children's Vision Through School Screening
One of Halo Vision's key priorities is protecting the eyesight of school-going children.

Untreated eye conditions can interfere with children's ability to read, write, follow classroom instruction, and participate fully in learning. When vision problems go undetected, children may experience difficulties in school without realising that their eyesight could be contributing to the challenge.
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential without preventable vision problems standing in the way.
Through our school screening projects, Halo Vision aims to identify eye problems early, facilitate timely treatment, and refer children who require further assessment or specialised care.
By taking screening services into schools, we seek to reach children who might otherwise miss out on essential eye examinations. Early identification and appropriate intervention can make a meaningful difference in their educational experience and overall development.
Expanding Our Reach Through Partnerships in 2026
In 2026, Halo Vision continues to take eye care services to schools and villages, working towards a future where more people can access essential eye health services close to home.
This work is made possible through partnerships, community participation, and the generosity of friends who share our commitment to preventing avoidable blindness.
We welcome individuals, organisations, healthcare professionals, schools, and well-wishers to partner with us in expanding our outreach. Whether through financial contributions, professional expertise, volunteering, or connecting us with communities in need, every form of support helps us reach more people.
Together, we can promote early detection, improve access to treatment, protect children's vision, and help more people enjoy the benefits of better eyesight.
