Restoring Sight, Spreading Love: Halo Vision’s Medical Camp in Kiburine, Meru County

On a bright and hopeful day, the Halo Vision team held a successful medical camp in Kiburine, Meru County, where we brought essential eye care services to a community in need. With the support of dedicated volunteers and generous donors, we screened 200 patients, distributed 120 spectacles, and identified critical eye conditions requiring urgent intervention.
Transforming Lives Through Eye Care
Many in Kiburine struggle with vision impairment due to limited access to eye care services. Our medical camp provided much-needed relief, with patients of all ages receiving comprehensive eye examinations. Among those screened:
8 patients were diagnosed with cataracts and require urgent surgical intervention to restore their sight.
6 patients were found to have severe glaucoma, a condition that can lead to irreversible blindness if not managed promptly.
Several school children were treated for eye allergies, ensuring they can continue learning without discomfort.
For many beneficiaries, receiving a pair of glasses was life-changing—enabling them to read, work, and move around with confidence. One elderly man, after being fitted with spectacles, exclaimed, "I can see clearly again! God bless you!" Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.
Spreading the Love of Christ Through Service
At Halo Vision, we believe that true service is an expression of God’s love. This medical camp was not just about treating eyes—it was about touching hearts, offering hope, and letting the community know that they are seen and valued.
As we interacted with patients, we shared words of encouragement, prayed with those in need, and demonstrated Christ’s compassion through action. The smiles, gratitude, and renewed hope we witnessed were a testament to the impact of faith in action.
