On Friday, 19th June 2026, Halo Vision joined hands with mission partners from the United States and dedicated volunteers from the Methodist Treatment Centre to conduct a free medical camp at Ciothirai MCK in Meru County. The outreach was a remarkable demonstration of compassion, service, and the love of Christ in action.
The medical camp attracted hundreds of residents from the surrounding communities, many of whom have limited access to quality healthcare services. By the end of the day, more than 600 patients had been screened for various health conditions and received free treatment and medical advice.
As part of the multidisciplinary outreach, Halo Vision led the eye care section of the camp. Our team conducted comprehensive eye examinations for 250 residents, providing much-needed eye health assessments and first-level treatment. For many participants, this was their first opportunity to receive a professional eye examination.

One of the most impactful outcomes of the outreach was the distribution of 180 pairs of prescription spectacles, enabling beneficiaries to see clearly and improve their quality of life immediately. In addition, 30 patients with more complex eye conditions were identified and referred for further evaluation and management. Among these cases were 18 individuals suspected to have cataracts, who will undergo additional examinations to determine their suitability for sight-restoring surgery.
These results reaffirm Halo Vision's commitment to delivering sight-saving interventions to underserved communities. We believe that no person should lose their vision simply because they lack access to basic eye care services. Every outreach allows us to identify preventable and treatable causes of visual impairment before they permanently affect lives.
Behind every pair of spectacles distributed is a story of renewed hope. It may be a child who can now see the blackboard clearly and pursue their education with confidence. It may be a parent who can once again provide for their family, or a grandparent who regains the dignity of independence after years of struggling with poor vision.
Our mission is made possible through the generosity of partners, volunteers, and supporters who share our vision of transforming lives through eye care. Together, we are reaching the least served members of our communities and bringing hope where it is needed most.
As Scripture reminds us:
"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." — Matthew 5:16
Today, you too can help restore sight and transform lives. A gift of just one or two dollars can make the difference between a bright future and avoidable blindness. Your contribution can help provide eye examinations, spectacles, medications, and life-changing surgeries for those who cannot afford them.
We invite you to partner with us in this ministry of healing and compassion. You can support our work through the Donations page on our website or contact us directly at info@halovision.org to learn about other ways you can get involved.
Together, we can spread the love of Christ, restore sight, and bring hope to those who need it most.
